The Midnight Sun, a breathtaking natural phenomenon, graces the Northern Hemisphere during summer. This extraordinary event keeps the sun visible at midnight, casting a radiant golden light across the sky. During the summer solstice on June 20th and 21st, the sun never sets below the horizon, providing continuous daylight.
Following this magical Midnight Sun period, Lapland enters a ‘white nights’ phase where summer nights remain illuminated until early August, allowing immersion in the natural surroundings even at night.
Beneath the radiance of the Midnight Sun, Lapland’s wilderness yields delectable natural treasures like berries and mushrooms, which can be readily plucked from the forest.
Lapland’s summer months boast mild temperatures, providing ideal outdoor conditions for various activities. The air is gentle, pure, and refreshing. On average, daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C in June and July and from 10°C to 20°C in August, ensuring comfortable exploration of this captivating region.
